MHL Library

The MHL Library is the university's information centre and central learning location. As a specialist academic library for music, it supports students and lecturers in their studies, teaching, research and art. It procures, catalogues and disseminates specialist information in printed or electronic form. The MHL Library provides an extensive media collection tailored to the needs of the university. It promotes access to information resources available worldwide. It supports the acquisition of media and information literacy through introductions and training courses. The MHL Library offers an attractive and up-to-date range of technical equipment and expertise. The extensive collection of scientific complete editions of sheet music and all other holdings of the MHL Library are systematically arranged in open stacks, accessible to the public and available for loan. Reference works, complete editions of sheet music, journal volumes, sound recordings and AV media can only be used in the library.
The services are aimed at university members. External users can use the library on site and borrow items for an annual fee. The detailed terms of use can be found in the library regulations.
