Studierende arbeiten mitels digitaler Technik an neuen Musikstücken

Digitisation project for teacher training at the MHL: The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the EU have jointly decided to provide substantial financial support for the further training of teachers in the fields of sport, music and art. The ?Kompetenzverbund lernen:digital? (Competence Network for Digital Learning) launched in this context comprises a total of eight project networks, including the ?DigiProSMK? network (digitalisation-related and digitally supported professionalisation of sports, music and art teachers).

Within the joint project ?DigiProSMK?, ten higher education institutions are working together on educational programmes that aim to professionalise teachers for and with digital media and which are to be made available as OERs (Open Educational Resources). In addition to the work at the individual locations, another goal of the project is to strengthen cross-state cooperation in the long term and to create structures on the basis of which the knowledge and skills gained can continue to have an impact even after the project has ended.

Since July 2023, Dr Fabian Bade and Kristoph Krabbenh?ft – who has also been head of the MHL Career Centre since 1 April 2024 – have been working at the MHL as research assistants in three so-called ?Communities of Practice? (CoPs). The project is based at the MHL under Prof. Dr. Annette Ziegenmeyer, Professor of Music Education at the MHL and also Head of the Centre for Teacher Training.

Kristoph Krabbenh?ft and Fabian Bade offer further training for interested (including prospective) teachers in the context of ?DigiProSMK?. Projects on topics such as ?Digital Music Making? (Krabbenh?ft), ?Human-Machine Songwriting? (Bade) and ?AI in Music Education? (Bade) are planned for early summer 2024.
